Dr. Tasneem Ali, MD

Dr. Ali is a fellowship-trained child psychiatrist who joins Betterview with more than two decades of psychiatric experience. She completed her psychiatry residency at New York Medical College and her specialty fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Westchester Medical Center. This formal credential distinguishes child psychiatrists from general adult psychiatrists who also see kids.

Her clinical focus centers on children and adolescents struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, and behavioral challenges that show up at home and at school. She also treats adults, which means families with both a parent and a child who need psychiatric care can stay under one roof.

Dr. Ali has practiced across every setting that matters for kids: residential treatment, partial hospitalization, community mental health, and outpatient care in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New York. That range matters — she has seen what works for children at every level of acuity, and she brings that judgment into every evaluation.

Her approach is collaborative and person-centered. She believes the work begins when a child feels safe and a parent feels heard, and she builds her sessions around that. Services include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy.

Dr. Ali is licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania and Delaware and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

When she's not in the clinic, Dr. Ali is reading history, gardening, traveling, or spending time with family.
